The Medical Faculty Charitй of the Humboldt University at Berlin (HUB) provides one of the few opportunities throughout Europe for International Health training. Its flexible modular degree programme for full-time or part-time study consists of an introductory core course, specialised optional modules in various tracks, and a research project submitted as a thesis. The programme is open to students world-wide.
The Masters Programme is organised within the TropEd European Network for Education in International Health, currently consisting of 26 institutions of higher education in 13 European countries and collaborating institutions in Africa, Asia and Latin America. It is characterised by a unique synergy of experience and expertise from leading European institutions with the Europe-wide recognition of education. The Masters Programme in International Health is a modular programme offered across TropEd member institutions. Completion is intended within a minimum of one year (full-time) up to a maximum of five years (part-time). Studies comprise a number of public health-related disciplines including anthropology, biology, economics, environmental health, epidemiology and statistics, management studies, nutrition, population sciences and reproductive health, psychology, social sciences, travel and migrant health and tropical medicine with a focus on infectious diseases, parasitology, virology, bacteriology, mycology and laboratory practice. |
| Финансировние: | Module and course fees are based on the current fee requirements of the local TropEd institution. In general there is a fee of approximately € 100 per ECTS credit point for core training, € 200 per credit point for the optional modules and of € 50 per credit point for the research project and thesis work. Tuition varies widely, however, from country to country. Tuition for the overall Masters programme will amount to approximately € 7,500 total depending on the courses and institutions selected. Living expenses including accommodation in student hostels amount to approximately € 650 per month. Students are encouraged to apply for financial Support in their home countries. |
